EventCity welcomed a specially selected group of agents to its first ever familiarisation trip of the venue and surrounding area, to show what the newly-announced regeneration of TraffordCity will mean for future events held at the venue.
The FAM trip, which took place on 22 June, saw seven agents from the north and across the UK arrive at EventCity before enjoying a tasty brunch served by The Kitchen – the venue’s new in-house catering offering. This was followed by a tour of EventCity, the north’s largest, fully flexible blank canvas exhibition and event space, located in TraffordCity, six miles from Manchester city centre.
Agents were then transported via luxury Mercedes Sprinter to The Alchemist in MediaCity, where they were inducted into the art of cocktail making with a masterclass. The day continued with an exclusive tour of the dock10 television studios at MediaCityUK in TraffordCity, home of The Voice, Blue Peter and Match of the Day. This was followed by a tour and drinks reception at Holiday Inn Express TraffordCity, and the day was rounded off with cocktails and a tasting menu at Manchester House and overnight accommodation at Holiday Inn Express TraffordCity.

Around £3 billion will be invested into TraffordCity over the next 20 years, by The Peel Group, investors, stakeholders and partners. This includes an expansion of the hotel rooms, the new £350million Trafford Park Metrolink line, a further 1,000 hotel bedrooms plus a new £41m flagship retail centre.
